City Plans Tree Planting Program With 200 Trees
City Manager Ray Wells says the tree planting program should start within 10 days. Delivery of 200 trees, in four groups of 50, will bring pin oak sycamore silver maple and green ash to streets on public right of way to replace elm-damaged trees. A Kansas University student told KU police that two rings valued at 85 dollars were lost Monday afternoon. She left them in a second floor restroom in Malott Hall. one ring is white gold with a blue diamond centerpiece, the other a yellow gold class ring.
