Escaped inmate charged in Douglas County case
Dean Routt, 22, a Colorado sex offender, escaped from a prison transport van near 23rd and Louisiana in Lawrence Monday evening. He was at large until Tuesday afternoon when he was spotted near 12th and Indiana, fled again, but was arrested at Mississippi Street. He faces aggravated escape from custody in Douglas County District Court.
