Kidnap gang leader O Malley tied to Illinois case
Kansas City March 31 Walter Wolland alias Trish O Malley named as ringleader in the August Luer abduction at Alton Illinois July 1 1958. Justice chief E C Conroy said O Malley to be extradited to Illinois for prosecution under state kidnaping laws. Six others already sentenced. Arrests also announced in four other gang members linked to bank robberies in Okemah St Joseph Joplin and Fort Smith. Federal agents report the Okemah loot nearly 18000 with $1200 found on a site in Kansas City apartment. Conroy said the brains of the Luer kidnaping was captured in Kansas City.
