Busker Fest and Art Tougeau blend in Lawrence celebration
The first combined Busker Festival and Art Tougeau weekend drew crowds in downtown Lawrence with magic tricks, juggling, music, and street performances. Families enjoyed treats while attendees like Phyllis Barnhardt and her grandson Jaiden Beebe watched acts. Organizer John Bowden showcased a Ford Escort art piece and teased it would appear in today’s parade. Travelers Burger and Bowen praised the event as playful, community focused, and a return home for many locals.
