Wichita police report 26-year-old crane operator Clarence Edward Young admitted stabbing Robert Boyd Chapman 14 times on a Texas road in March, robbing him, and dumping the body in a ravine after hitchhiking from Lewiston Idaho. Chapman’s car recovered. Young described the killing near Canyon, Texas. He is held on a first degree warrant and to be returned to Texas.

Vernon Morrison, 32, sustained a gunshot wound to the right finger and bullet lodged in the left thigh after an accidental discharge.
