Train Hits Truck at Mill Kills At Least Three
Alliance Ohio witnesses say a stalled truck was struck by a steam passenger train on the Pittsburgh to Cleveland route near Atwater. The collision derailed the diesel engine baggage car and four passenger cars, destroying a one story feed mill and offices of the Portage County Farm Bureau. At least three men died and seven others injured among the approximately 60 passengers.

Fire Levels Showplace In Leavenworth County
A two story Colonial home built 11 months earlier by E D Bishop near Bonner Springs was destroyed in a spectacular fire early Sunday night. The 24 mile west location off K 32 in Leavenworth County left only a few personal belongings. Fire teams from Rasehar Edwardsville and Bonner Springs failed to save the house but prevented spread to outbuildings.

Parking Incident Sparks Chain of Mishaps in City
Boyd Mauser and Stanton Mock Ball, both involved in a parking mishap on West Thirteenth Street, triggered a series of minor crashes.
