The trend shifted away from gold and centralized monopolies toward broader note issuance bases, but no major deposit security reforms occurred beyond growing bank inspections. It ends with a census bureau figure on 1939 U S copper mines producing 142 million in ore and 1 3866 million pounds of recoverable copper across 49 mines.
