Murder trial set for Eudora daycare worker in baby death
Prosecutors and defense told a Douglas County judge the July 16 eight day jury trial for Carrody Buchhorn 43 of Eudora will proceed. The case concerns nine month old Oliver Ollie Ortiz found nonsresponsive at Sunshine Kids Group Day Care Home in Eudora with homicide listed as the cause from blunt force trauma. The defense notes others were present the day of the death and seeks to blur portions of an autopsy video to avoid juror distress.
