Lawrence Auxiliary Party Draws 800 At Fraternal Hall
A large American Legion Auxiliary event at Fraternal Aid Union hall drew about 800 guests. Attendees enjoyed cards, thimble party, sewing, and social chats, renewing ties with former Lawrence residents now visiting. Hostesses and volunteers organized refreshments, prizes, and musical numbers during the afternoon. Proceeds of about 140 dollars were to be donated to the national American Legion Orphans' home at Independence.
