Morton Heads Lawrence Business Association In City Meeting

Clark Morton Jr. was elected president of the newly formed Lawrence Business Association at a Hotel Eldridge gathering attended by about 60. Other officers include Lee Zimmerman vice president Ethan Smith Jr. secretary Hal Bigham treasurer, with several directors named for three two and one year terms. A members meeting is set for June 8 at 8 p.m. and committees will be discussed at the next board meeting. Morton has lived in Lawrence since 1998 and helped launch the family hardware and building materials business in 1944.

Yanks Trade Carey for Cerv Returns to New York
