AlliedSignal CAS division will build a $40 million headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, instead of Lenexa. The two Johnson County sites are about four miles apart. the Olathe location enables single level construction and easier work cell integration. Avionics Aerospace, a unit of Allied Signal Aerospace, is a major supplier of aircraft electronics with operations in Lawrence and a parent company in Morris Township New Jersey.
