Free State softball reaches state after regional wins
Freshman Tatum Clopton starred on both sides as Free State edged Wichita South 17-2 in the regional semifinal with a grand slam and 16 strikeouts in a 4-0 regional final win over Wichita Northwest. Sara Roszak led with a homer and triple, as the Firebirds improved to 15-7 and earned a state berth at KU venues Arrocha Ballpark and Rock Chalk Park.
