On Monday morning April 26 three police cars and two school buses were at the Peterson Road Iowa Street intersection after a bus collided with a vehicle. No injuries. Children were moved from one bus to another en route to school.

Police report multiple vehicle thefts from Dale Willey Pontiac and local blocks, including a black 1996 Cadillac Seville valued at 33,000 and a 1995 Pontiac Trans Am valued at 18,000 plus items totaling 5,620. A 1991 Ford Escort GT valued at 5,600 was reported stolen from West Sixth Terrace. Ursula Murray, 33, faced charges linked to crack cocaine and a bad check, later released pending drug testing as officers investigated police reports and emergency responses across Lawrence and surrounding areas.
