State AG asked to rule on school funding constitutional issue

Lockdown ordered after standoff at Fort Leavenworth prison

At the U S Disciplinary Barracks 700 inmates returned to their cells after a four hour protest over prison rule changes. A seven hour wing standoff Monday left five injured but no hostages. Recrudescence of tensions prompted a full lockdown with meals in cells and suspended recreation until safety is assured.
