County OKs new golf course east of Lawrence
Douglas County commissioners unanimously approved a conditional use permit for Jeff Gazaway to build an 18 hole public golf course on 185 acres five miles east of Lawrence. Construction may begin this fall with opening planned for fall 1993 or spring 1994, using well water if the rural water line proves costly.
