Veterans and volunteers break ground for Franklin County memorial
In Ottawa volunteers from the Franklin County Veterans Memorial group broke ground at Fourth and Main to honor local men and women who died in World War I II Korea and Vietnam. The project aims for a Veterans Day dedication after five years of fundraising near $111000 raised toward an estimated $120000. Construction begins in three to four weeks with 1600 bricks already sold for pathways and more bricks available to the public.
