Finish One Bridge At Lakeview Opens Water Flow Control
The Lakeview club completed a bridge and ditch project to regulate water flow from Baldwin creek to Lakeview. W G Dickie of Topeka said the work began two weeks ago with about 21 men, costing the club 31200 and the county 600. The eight by sixteen foot ditch and two bridges with gates protect an area six to seven miles west toward the bluffs, aiding flood control and lake water supply. Gravel from the lake bed was used in construction and may be exploited if needed.
