Washington May 9 Congressional action on the Mississippi flood control bill was completed today and is ready for President Coolidge to approve. The conference report was adopted without a record vote after Senate approval of the House Senate conferees report. The House had favored the report with changes requested by the President. Kindergarten pupils at McAllaster School completed a bird village and miniature after a field trip to F L Hunt's Bird Village at 311 Johnson Avenue. Two Aviators Killed In New Jersey Crash
At Teterboro Airport New Jersey on May 5 Lieut Royal V Thomas and crewmate Pee lance Vaughn were killed instantly when their Bellanca monoplane crashed. Thomas had recently set an endurance record in the air before a forced landing near Roosevelt Field Long Island. He was a Georgetown graduate and Harvard Business student who trained as a pilot and instructor. Police arrest Gerald Bowers for liquor possession after a separate incident on New Jersey Street.
