In Topeka, Kansas, at Sixth Ward Mississippi streets about 4:30 am, Ben Lewis and two women were halted after a police car horned them. Officers Vogler Price and Cooper found nearly 45 gallons of liquor in twenty two containers, six five-gallon jugs and other bottles, plus a .38 revolver. The trio were jailed on liquor possession charges. Lewis turned over to county officers.
