Sixteen cars, mostly 1933 Ford models, stolen in Emporia since January 1 with none recovered. In Arkansas City since March 25 ten 1933 Chevrolets stolen, two last Saturday night, none recovered.

Hooded bandit robs two stores in Saturday night raid
A hooded man with a sawed off shotgun robbed Harry Winters grocery at 546 Maine street of about $10 at 8:45 pm and, two hours later, hit Cottage Confectionery at Twelfth and Indiana with similar description. Four people were held up, cash taken, and the bandit fled on foot toward Indiana street. The robber, described as Negro in brown overcoat, then seen near the Kappa Alpha Theta house.
