State revenue tops April estimate in Kansas
Kansas collected 455 million dollars in April general fund, 13.3 million above the 441.7 million estimate, a 3 percent variance. Officials caution that one month does not establish a trend as timing and processing factors affect figures. Individual income tax beat estimates by 9.1 million, corporate income tax lagged by 3.2 million, and retail sales tax surpassed by 5.6 million.
