Lawrence roadwork and closures slow traffic in city
City of Lawrence announces continued delays on 23rd Street from Alabama to Louisiana as crews replace a water main and lay two new force mains. Intersections at Eighth and Walnut and nearby boulevards remain restricted, with detours via Elm, Oak, and Ash. Other closures include Maple Lane, 700 block Vermont or Kentucky, Ridge Court access limits, and ongoing 24/7 closures on East 1750 Road, 35th Street, and Haskell Avenue through 2015 with alternate routes posted.
