Grocery store banking trial planned in Kansas
A Federal Home Loan Bank Board study will allow Capitol Federal Savings passholders to bank at Dillon's Plaza in Lawrence beginning July 1. Transactions run 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at a store customer service window with Dillon's employees handling operations through July 31 and possibly beyond. KU Chancellor urges forward push amid higher ed strain

Fed to raise money supply by up to 21.5 billion dollars
Federal Reserve Chairman Arthur Burns told the Senate Banking Committee the Fed plans to expand the money supply by as much as 21.5 billion dollars in the year ending next March to spur a recovery. The target covers M-1 money including currency and checking deposits and would raise growth to between 5 and 7.5 percent from about 4.7 percent in 1974.
