Annie Lee Ryburn, 32, of southeast Kansas, was sentenced to 25 years and four months for second degree murder and felony manufacture of meth after pleading guilty. The 2010 death of 29 year old Ian P. Monaghan was discovered in a field in Pittsburg.
In Wichita a 41 year old man, Christopher A. Vangessel, was sentenced to ten years after pleading guilty to one count of bank robbery for the February 28 2012 UMB Bank branch he robbed by presenting a note to a teller. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom announced the plea and sentence.
