Tomb openers find nothing under Shakespeare tomb
In Chislehurst England stonemasons drilled into the Walsingham family tomb seeking documents to prove Christopher Marlowe authored Shakespeare. After two hours they found only a lead casket beneath a marble slab and the government cautioned the casket may not be opened. Calvin Hoffman, 49, a New Yorker, insisted no bodies or coffins lay beneath. The report also covers Gen Curtis LeMay urging a larger US Air Force budget to counter Soviet power, with Senator Jackson calling for billions more funds for fast bomber production.
