Canker Worms Are Few in Lawrence This Year
Lawrence experts say spraying elm trees for canker worms is unnecessary due to surprisingly low infestation in the city. Local nurserymen and entomologists report inspections show minimal trouble, though advisories will continue if conditions change. An out of town firm is soliciting spraying and another promotes soil injections to kill borers, methods experts deem ineffective.
