Alcove Development LLC eyes a fall groundbreaking on an 11 million senior care complex north of Church Street and North 1200 Road. Plans include 38 assisted living beds 12 skilled nursing beds and 20 memory care beds with leasing to a third party operator. Industrial revenue bonds approved to finance the project with a total investment near 11 million while developers finalize bed counts and present to the planning commission in May.
City staff recommend rebuilding 19th Street from Harper to O’Connell Road in 2019 with street and waterline work, sidewalks, bike lanes, and transit access. The project would add about 1,000 trips on the segment between Harper and Connell, an 18 percent increase, but no growth west of Haskell. A traffic barrier for emergency vehicle access is favored.
