IRS to begin issuing stimulus payments in May schedule set
The IRS will send more than 130 million stimulus payments starting May 2 with direct deposit for those with specific Social Security number endings. Married filers are timed by the first number on their return, and delays or early payments depend on filing by April 15. Volunteers at the center will aid nonfilers during Super Saturday, with 20 minute sessions and potential $300 to $600 payments, plus eligibility for credits and refunds.
