Lana Case Back In Juvenile Court

A 16 year old, Henry A Lana of 316 N Eighth, is remanded to Douglas County Juvenile Court after appealing a waiver to adult treatment for the Dec 24 wounding of Joel Malott and burglary at Malotts Hardware. Judge Floyd H Coffman ruled he will be treated as a juvenile. The incident involved three minors. David Schaulis 17 pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced. William Barker 18 awaits district court action. The Boys Industrial School at Topeka plans to take Lana, despite BIS typically not admitting ages 16 or older.
