First Bank to Become U S Bank in National Expansion

First Bank announces a merger creating a national bank with U S Bank. The combined entity will span from the Pacific Northwest to the Great Lakes, offering nearly 1,000 branches, 3,000 ATMs, 24 hour service, and a shared commitment to community well being and improved products. The headquarters will remain in the Twin Cities and the new organization will be known as U S Bank.
