Lawrence Common Ground expands urban gardens led by Bayramoglu
Lawrence expands Common Ground urban gardens with 10 sites citywide and an incubator farm near John Taylor Park. Bayramoglu, the program’s first dedicated manager, will coordinate grants, outreach, and a farmer apprenticeship, aiming to boost land access, equity, and community partnerships across Lawrence Douglas County. A KDHE grant funds the expansion and two annual educational workshops. Open house March 27 at the Lawrence Public Library invites public feedback.
