A Kansas Board of Regents study finds every state tax dollar to higher education yields 11.94 dollars in state economic activity. In 2010 the system supported 95,327 jobs, produced 3.4 billion in wages, and added 485 million in tax collections, with total impact at 7.3 billion. It links education to high tech growth and quality of life, while noting regional disparities.
