Lawrence benefactor of land grants to University

Frank B. Lawrence of Boston recently died in Philadelphia. He donated ten acres near Fowler Shops and the Chemistry building to the University with an annuity of 600 dollars for life on the remaining forty-one acres. The Hobinson Trail Gymnasium will honor his aunt S J D Robinson. The University will use theLawrence land for two new Engineering buildings and the Central Administration building. Only 1811 pounds has been paid to Mr Lawrence and the land reverts to the University.
