Ed Stuliken long prominent in Lakin journalism died Sunday at Kearny County Hospital after a heart attack at his home Saturday night. He owned the Lakin Independent for 30 years, served as editor and publisher before retiring in 19. The paper was later sold to Monte Can Geld, its current editor.
