Dam burst in Kauai kills one and traps seven missing

An earth dam failure on Kauai swept away homes in a torrent of water across a 150 yard width. One person was killed and as many as seven others were reported missing as Kaloko Reservoir breached after heavy rain. Search crews recovered an unidentified body while helicopters scanned debris and floodwaters three miles from the burst dam.
