Washington March 13 AP The government's income for the fiscal year ending July 1 has surpassed 2 billion dollars while expenditures total 4.444 billion. Receipts through March 10 were about 2.002 billion, up from 1.294 billion last year, driven by miscellaneous taxes and distilled spirits revenue. Agricultural processing taxes contribute 230.8 million, customs receipts rise to 233.2 million, and income tax payments lag slightly. March payments show a spike from 24.6 million in ten days to a year-ago 10.3 million. Secretary Morgenthau notes payments run a shade above estimates. Expenditures in February and early March trail February levels, with 206.9 million spent in the first ten days of March.
