Five Defendants Freed in Trial Following Raid
In a justice court morning trial, Point Brown, Willamt Nelson, Marylyn Kane, and Jennie Scott were freed after Judge J H Mitchell sustained a demurrer to the evidence. The five were arrested in a raid on the Scott home by City Officers Vogler Ingalls Calhoun and Hunter. Officers said the defendants broke two jugs of liquor and soaked up liquid with a towel, later wrung out to yield a half pint. Evidence included broken jugs, a hammer, and the half pint. The defense asked for a jury trial which was granted, but the case did not go to a jury. State testimony came from arresting officers and Chief Will Johns. County Attorney Harry Frazee testified the items were turned over to him by police.

Arrest Made in Taos Studio Robbery Case
Carmen Duran of Taos, named in Arthur R. Lawrence man loses three fingers in farm power saw accident
