Topeka March 12 AP Alleged irregularities in the administration of a trust fund the state auditor custodian Will J French are before Attorney General William A Smith for an investigation directed by Governor Clyde M Reed. The governor transmitted Bertha Wetherton state accountant report alleging French used 1492.70 from the fund for personal use later returned with interest French welcomed investigation and said he had returned the money with interest. The trust fund was created under act mandating sale of old channels to buy new ones when a navigable stream changes course and covered projects near St Marys and Manhattan on the Kansas river. Receipts from land sales totaled about 24480 dollars expenditures about 18100 dollars including 11000 plus to S A Sulentic Engineering Co and 2084.84 to Randall Harvey for attorney fees.

Cadet Harold J. Fahring of Lebo Kansas escaped unharmed after his plane demolished in a crash south of Kelly Field San Antonio Texas observers saw him emerge from the wreck and wave.
