Obama taps Steve Six for 10th Circuit seat
Lawrence resident Steve Six, former Kansas attorney general and Douglas County judge, was nominated by President Obama to fill the vacancy on the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals created by Deanell Tacha’s retirement. Six must win Senate confirmation and previously practiced at Stevens & Brand in Lawrence after serving as attorney general.

Lawrence police detec tives arrested Ryan Lee Robert Davis and Larissa Renee Davis on Tennessee warrants for the 2009 death of their daughter Izabel Davis who was under one year old.
