Murphy Meets Stevenson in Peruvian Andes Encounter

A group of students from an all Negro university staged their first sit-in Friday at a Houston lunch counter and the action spread to a drug store Saturday and a third store Monday. The protests remained peaceful and a pending integration suit before Judge Connally has not yielded a decision. Two-Car Wreck on K-10 Injures Five Near Lawrence
Five people were hurt in a two car crash about two miles east of Lawrence on Highway K-10. All were released from hospital. Cars driven by Carolyn Henderson and Floy McCoy. Henderson daughters Rena Suzana 11 Teresa June 9 Johnna Lee 7 suffered facial injuries. Henderson said slick spot caused her car to drift across the road and collide with the McCoy vehicle.
