Cadets Fly to Fort Riley in Black Hawk Formation
KU Army ROTC cadets rode UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from campus to Fort Riley for training. Six helicopters flew in formation at 11 30 a m landing near Shenk Recreational Sports Complex as cadets marched from the Military Science Building to board and fly out. Lt Col Davis McElwain noted Black Hawks first landed on campus for training, offering transportation and hands on flight experience for EU cadets.
