Day-care worker flags bruises amid suspected child abuse case
Police interviews in early February reveal a day-care worker reported bruising on a girl whose cheeks back head and leg were noted. Douglas County Sheriff's reports say Harris claimed the girl fell from a bed and that buttock marks came from a spanking, with head bumps and cheek marks from a pinching game. Alleged abuse began December 26.

Reports detail a theft of cigarettes from a convenience store rack on Ninth Street near 42nd.
