Regents forecast higher enrollments and budget changes
Regents report full-time enrollment at five state colleges and the medical school will reach 34,150 in fall 1963 up from 32,366. Total enrollment last year was 30,055. New faculty slots align with 17 students per position at KU and Kansas State and 20 per position at the three state colleges. Total new project spending requested 178,315, with a 4 percent faculty salary rise and civil service boosts 3.3 to 7 percent. The board cut school requests by 920,582, KU's budget cut only 87,799 from 17,378,549. Board will review at October meeting in light of fall enrollments.
