Henry L Kobt living at Milton and Young streets shot his wife Sarah and daughter Nellie then killed himself. The couple’s room showed a temple bullet, Nellie died in the adjoining lounge, and Kobt fired into his right eye with the revolver still in hand. Reports note moody behavior and a declared fate of all dying together.
In Daxville Virginia six thousand people in Waterick County lack food with nearly half the population affected. All corn and provisions are exhausted and no grain is held by anyone except distributing committees. Harvest soon, relief may arrive with it. Ros Burns, aged and prominent attorney in Kansas, former solicitor for the Santa Fe railroad, succumbed to paralysis and died shortly before 11 tonight. His lengthy public service and legal leadership were widely recognized in the state.
By 28 June, 647 townships reported, giving the amendment a net majority of 2420s, with all large cities except Sioux City counted. The statewide majority is expected to reach not less than 44,000 votes.
