Secretary Baker Draws First One For 1918 Class
Washington June 27 The draw for the 1918 class to determine order of call to military service was held in the senate office building with Secretary Baker blindfolded drawing capsules. About 1 200 numbers were drawn to assign registrants to five classes based on questionnaires. The process began around 9 30 a m and lasted over three hours. The first numbers drawn issued will place registrants at the foot of their class lists in their districts.

Motorcyclist injured as car hits curb side
Charles Clarkson of 1028 New Hampshire Street was seriously injured when a car driven by Bushy Leunen of the Haskell Institute struck him while he stood beside his motorcycle at the Thirteenth and New Jersey street corner. Clarkson received head lacerations and bruises. Dr. W C McConnell treated him.
