Memphis police report a registered mail matter valued at 320,000 vanished Friday night between a railcar and the Memphis post office. The mail, containing consignments from Texas Oklahoma and the West, was found missing after packages were removed from postal car safes for Memphis transfer. All other sacks remained guarded and trains were notified, but no trace of the mail has emerged.
Washington June 26 the president has received word from both Russia and Japan that their plenipotentiaries will meet in the United States during the first ten days of August. Nijdoff and Rosen are named as Russian selections while Takahara is identified for Japan. Takahira,Japan's minister, conferred with the president and expected further details of the pace conference.

Chicago June 26. If the teamsters strike vote tonight fails to accept employers terms, the dispute may grow to involve all 33 000 union teamsters in Chicago. Conservatives plan to block sympathy strikes and are believed to have about even odds of success.
Lewistown Pa June 26 Ellwood Garman convicted of murder first degree for killing Murray was found dead in his cell at Midintown today. He committed suicide by drinking carbolic acid. Garman, prominent resident of Midlintown, was convicted of murdering a railroad clerk named Murray who had accused Garman of improper intimacy with his wife. Garman was brother of Dolio M Garman former democratic state chairman.
In Copenhagen a Danish cadet training schooner the Georg Stag was rammed and sunk by the British steamer Anacona. Twenty two cadets drowned and fifty seven rescued. The crew were all in hammocks at the time. The Anacona sustained heavy damage.
New York report states Attorney General Mayer delays return to Albany to handle the Equitable matter. Restitution of 25 043 reportedly received by former President Alexander from a syndicate.
