Fantasy furniture takes decor to extremes
Fantasy antiques draw auction bidders and decorators with daring pieces from Victorian pipes to fatamorgana shells. Pieces by Hunzinger and Buggati headline a mix of parchment seats, pewter inlays, and grotto motifs. modern designs mix cow horn chairs with 1980s multicolor angles. Prices from collectors’ guides list majolica jugs, Tiffany boxes, and Jensen tea services among hundreds of patterns, while the Kovels invite readers to mail questions to the Lawrence Journal-World column.
