Manhattan Country Club to Rebuild After Arson Fire
Officials tentatively accept a $403,000 bid from Hunter & Lundberg to reconstruct the Lawrence clubhouse destroyed by February arson. Work starts immediately with completion expected late year and a larger 4,500 square foot facility plus a permanent night watchman. The burned building was a few years old. Lawrence Police reports show three minor collisions Monday involving two wheelers. Richard Rothwell 19 rode a motorcycle colliding with a car driven by C H Thuman at 6th and Miss Sts. A 9 year old boy riding a bicycle on Lyons St was rear ended by a car described as a grey two door convertible driven by a young woman. Survivors recount Evans collision with Melbourne at Subic Bay
