Rural panel to study living in Chanute Kansas

County jobless rate eases in May

Douglas County's unemployment rate slipped to 3.2 percent in May from 3.3 percent in April, closely tracking the statewide rate of 3.3 percent. Local labor force stood at 29,525 with 950 unemployed.
