82 Year Old Man Hurt in Bank Collision
Cecil J. Mann, 82, of Lawrence, was injured when his car hit a pickup at 9th and Kentucky Streets and struck the Douglas County State Bank causing extensive damage to shrubs, lighting fixtures, and a drainage spout. Daniels, 28, from 3rd Street, drove the other vehicle. Mann’s car then hit the bank wall and stopped after about 97 feet. Mann was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Daniels’ truck sustained $175 damage and the bank $500 in damages.
